Image Gallery Web Part

The Image Gallery Web Part is a modern and configurable solution designed to help organizations centrally manage, organize, and showcase images and videos within their SharePoint intranet. It enables seamless content display directly from a SharePoint document library, ensuring no duplication while maintaining governance, security, and compliance.
The web part supports flexible content organization through albums (categories) or standalone display, allowing businesses to structure their media based on departments, events, or announcements. Administrators can configure default categories to highlight important content immediately upon page load.

To enhance visual presentation, the solution offers multiple layout options including Grid, Brick (masonry-style), and Carousel views. These layouts provide flexibility to present content in a visually engaging and user-friendly manner based on business needs.
Users can interact with media through an intuitive popup experience, where images and videos are displayed. Navigation within the popup allows seamless browsing without exiting the view, improving user experience.
The web part includes powerful search capabilities, enabling users to quickly find albums even within large galleries. Pagination ensures optimal performance and scalability when handling extensive media libraries.
Administrators have control over content organization through configurable sorting options, ensuring relevant or recent media is prioritized. Additionally, download permissions can be managed to align with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
Optional engagement features such as likes and comments can be enabled to encourage user interaction and feedback.
All configurations—including layout selection, category management, default album, permissions, and display settings—are managed through a user-friendly property pane, allowing non-technical users to customize the web part without any code changes.
